Vast in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Color, Material, and Finish Designer to own CMF development for Haven program and future space station projects. You will lead cross‑functional teams, shepherd material research, testing, and production while ensuring aerospace‑grade standards and strict certification compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Industrial Design or related field, 6+ years of CMF design leadership, and proven ability to translate concept into production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, Material Science, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of CMF design experience with ownership from concept to production.
• Proven track record leading CMF strategy on complex, engineered products.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve CMF design strategy for space station experience, ensuring compliance with engineering and safety criteria.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration with manufacturing, suppliers, and engineering through all development phases.
• Build CMF libraries and design standards scalable across programs.
• Source and manage vendors, evaluating cost, performance, and innovation.
