Job summary

Blue Cross NC seeks a Configuration Management professional to own the CMS/CMDB, lead upgrades, and align data with business processes. You will collaborate with IT service teams, ServiceNow platform groups, and business owners to ensure data accuracy and governance across CMDB, ITOM, and cloud environments.

The role requires 5+ years in the field, experience with ServiceNow CMDB, cloud platforms (AWS), and container tech (Kubernetes/OpenShift).

Qualifications

• Experience in a ServiceNow CMDB environment.
• Understanding of service mapping concepts and business service relationships.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and container tech (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher; 5+ years in related field (7+ years if no degree).

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the CMS, including the ServiceNow CMDB and ITOM modules.
• Lead CMDB upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management.
• Interface between IT service teams, ServiceNow teams, and business owners.
• Maintain CMDB architecture, discovery data, CI relationships, and access controls.
• Integrate patching and vulnerability data across cloud, infra, and containers.
• Ensure CMDB accuracy, reporting, and continuous improvement.
