Job summary

HomeServe USA is seeking a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage virtualization, storage, and cloud solutions across on-prem and cloud environments.

The role emphasizes AWS, VMware, Citrix, and AD services, with a focus on IAM, IaC, automation, and security. The candidate will drive cloud strategy, optimize costs, maintain AD, Citrix, and VMware ecosystems, and ensure SLA compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems.
• A minimum of 10 years of strong technical IT infrastructure/systems experience with virtualization.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in virtualization technologies.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory in a large enterprise.
• 3+ years of experience supporting Citrix environments (XenApp/XenDesktop or Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops).
• Deep understanding of Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022).
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams.
• Experience managing a PKI infrastructure.
• Advanced experience with DataDog or similar observability tools.
• Expert knowledge of VMware ESXi and vCenter.
• Advanced experience with Pure Storage SAN and SRM.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Perl, or Python.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP and TCP/IP protocols.
• Excellent customer service and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize in high-pressure environments.
• ITIL principles and practices understanding.
• Maintain documentation for systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage scalable, secure, high-performance cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Implement AWS IAM policies, roles, and federated identity with AD.
• Build and maintain cloud automation using CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar IaC tools.
• Manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, and Systems Manager.
• Support hybrid-cloud architecture, including AD domain controllers and workloads in AWS.
• Optimize costs and resource utilization via monitoring, automation, and lifecycle management.
• Design, implement, and manage AD DS, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.
• Maintain the VMware virtualization environment, including troubleshooting and capacity planning.
• Assist in planning and implementing new virtualization technologies.
• Ensure security, compliance, and operational standards across on-prem and cloud.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell, AWS CLI, and Python.
• Collaborate on cloud migration, DR planning, and modernization initiatives.
• Maintain Citrix environments (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud).
• Use observability tools to ensure high availability and rapid incident response.
• Document configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Maintain current certifications and engage in related activities.
• Interact with vendors to resolve issues and outages.
• Participate in on-call rotation for outside-hours support.
• Assist with infrastructure security planning and deployment.
• Analyze operations and suggest improvements.
• Participate in post-mortems to discuss outages and implement safeguards.
