Job summary

Lyntris is a defense technology company delivering sensing-to-action capabilities across multiple domains. The Senior Systems Engineer will design, stand up, and maintain AWS infrastructure for PLM software implementations, ensuring security, performance, and compliance for DoD customers.

Responsibilities include automating workloads with Ansible, managing RDS databases, and applying security updates. Hybrid work in the US with federal clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Security+ certification is required.
• Relevant AWS certifications are required.
• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/SE or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with AWS cloud services for enterprise apps.
• Experience with Ansible playbooks.
• Experience with AWS licensing and AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Fleet Manager, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch).
• Experience maintaining performance of cloud-hosted enterprise apps.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Must hold or be able to obtain US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and security requirements into technical solutions.
• Plan, implement, and refine AWS-based infrastructure focusing on performance, scalability, and cost.
• Utilize Ansible for automation and secure applications with PKI/TLS and secure auth mechanisms.
• Administer RDS Oracle and RDS PostgreSQL databases, including data seeding and performance tuning.
• Install and upgrade PLM application software and apply security patches regularly.
• Oversee non-production environments and perform comprehensive testing.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for all environments.
• Maintain certifications in PLM, cloud, and security platforms.
