Lyntris, a defense technology company, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to stand up and maintain AWS infrastructure for PLM software across production and non-production environments. You will install software, apply security patches, and optimize performance in Red Hat Linux and Windows Server environments.

The role requires 5–8 years of AWS experience, Security+ and AWS certifications, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Security+ certification required.
• AWS certifications required.
• 5+ years configuring AWS cloud services for enterprise apps.
• Experience with Ansible playbooks.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL databases.
• Proficient in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8+ and Windows Server CLI.
• Active U.S. national security clearance or eligibility.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and security requirements into technical solutions.
• Plan, implement, and refine AWS infrastructure for performance, scalability and cost savings.
• Utilize Ansible for automation and manage PKI/TLS certificates and secure authentication.
• Administer RDS Oracle and PostgreSQL databases including seeding, configurations and tuning.
• Install and upgrade PLM application software and patch security vulnerabilities.
• Oversee non-production environment refreshes and testing.
• Debug complex defects and investigate performance/infrastructure issues.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation for environments.
• Establish certifications in PLM, Cloud and Security platforms.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work in a hybrid environment.
