Job summary

Lyntris, a defense technology company, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting PLM software for DoD projects. The role is hybrid in St. Paul, MN, with onsite work and occasional travel to meet program needs.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years’ AWS experience, Security+ and AWS certs, plus Ansible, Linux/Windows admin and database skills. A U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Security+ certification required.
• AWS certifications required.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience managing Ansible playbooks.
• Experience with AWS licensure.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Fleet Manager, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Active U.S. national security clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate security requirements into technical solutions.
• Plan, implement, and refine cloud infrastructure (AWS) for performance, scalability, and cost savings.
• Utilize Ansible for automation and secure PKI/tls management.
• Administer RDS Oracle and RDS PostgreSQL databases and optimize performance.
• Install and upgrade PLM application software and apply security patches.
• Oversee non-production environment data refreshes and testing.
• Diagnose complex defects and investigate performance issues.
• Maintain documentation for all infrastructure environments.
• Establish certifications in PLM, cloud, and security platforms.
