Job summary

Atlas Air Worldwide is seeking a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to design, automate, and optimize enterprise cloud platforms supporting airline operations, data and AI initiatives.

You will own Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS-based platform engineering, collaborating with security, DevOps and applications teams to accelerate delivery with security and cost discipline.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive cloud/infrastructure engineering experience.
• Hands-on AWS expertise delivering secure, scalable services (IAM, EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, ECS/EKS).
• Terraform IaC experience and CI/CD pipelines with GitHub or equivalents.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Python/PowerShell).
• Experience supporting production environments with high availability and DR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub-based workflows.
• Engineer AWS infrastructure for production, DR, and non-prod environments.
• Support enterprise data and AI platforms (Databricks, Bedrock).
• Mentor engineers and lead knowledge-transfer activities.
