Job summary

Fieldpiece is seeking a Senior Cloud and DevOps Engineer to build, operate, and continuously improve the AWS-hosted infrastructure powering our connected products and SaaS offerings.

You will work across cloud infrastructure, containerized apps, IaC, automation, monitoring, and incident response to ensure reliability, security, and scalable performance. This is a hands-on role partnering with software teams to automate deployments and enhance operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in senior DevOps/Cloud/SRE roles.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and containerized apps.
• Strong IaC with Terraform or similar tools.
• Experience with Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, CloudWatch.
• Strong Linux and Windows admin skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure and ECS-based environments.
• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform; automate provisioning and deployments.
• Monitor health, performance, availability, and security; troubleshoot production issues.
• Develop monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, CloudWatch.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with engineering teams.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for scale, performance, reliability, and cost.
• Participate in on-call rotation; perform root cause analysis and drive improvements.
