Job summary

Capital One in Riverwoods, IL is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer 4 to drive architectural vision for resilient, large-scale production systems and define an IaC strategy. You will lead crisis management, deep-dive RCA, and outage prevention across multi-cloud environments.

You will establish organization-wide SLOs, mentor teams, and own proactive capacity forecasting, cost optimization, and FinOps for core infrastructure using AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• 8+ years of experience leading SRE or DevOps initiatives and defining roadmaps.
• 8+ years of experience architecting and governing enterprise-scale cloud solutions on a major provider.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural vision for resilient, large-scale production systems.
• Spearhead strategic automation to eliminate toil and boost efficiency.
• Lead crisis management, RCA, and outage prevention strategies.
• Define and govern multi-cloud IaC strategy and maturity roadmap.
