Job summary

ascendingdc is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the Cloud Infrastructure team on a long-term contract. The role is 100% remote within the continental United States and focuses on building and operating a cloud platform for a Fortune 1000 healthcare provider.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive AWS or Azure DevOps experience, strong Kubernetes expertise (EKS/AKS), and deep knowledge of cloud networking.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating cloud platforms for large organizations.
• Strong Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) experience and cloud networking knowledge.
• Terraform as IaC is mandatory; multi-cloud experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.
• Design and implement microservices-based architecture in the cloud.
• Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration ensuring scalability and availability.
• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud platforms.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices across the team.
