Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to own technical engagements and drive cloud architectures for higher education customers.

You will define architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop deep expertise in AWS services while guiding customers and partners toward successful implementations. Responsibilities include sharing best practices, leading technical discussions, and staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications

8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
Define implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
Be a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community.
