Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to design scalable, secure cloud architectures for enterprise customers in the U.S. Midwest region.

You will collaborate with AWS Sales and cross-functional teams to tailor solutions that accelerate cloud adoption and deliver measurable business outcomes. As a trusted advocate, you’ll educate customers on best practices, publish whitepapers, and help shape deployment strategies while traveling regionally (15–20%).

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology domains such as cloud computing, software development, or systems engineering.
• 5+ years in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with business and technical stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
• Lead deep architectural discussions to create world-class AWS-based solutions.
• Author and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications and POCs.
• In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives.
• Build relationships with executives to enable cloud advocacy.
• Share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.
• Travel is mostly regional, and is expected to be 15-20%.
