Job summary

Momentum Engineering Annapolis Junction, MD, seeks a highly skilled Software Engineer to support mission‑critical cloud software in large‑scale distributed environments. The role spans the full software lifecycle—from requirements and design to deployment, sustainment, and enhancements—across complex systems.

Ideal candidates will lead technically and collaborate with mission stakeholders to deliver high‑performance, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph.
• Twenty (20) years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of software development or software engineering experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux environments, including Red Hat.

Responsibilities

• End‑to‑end software engineering activities including requirements analysis, design, development, installation, integration, evaluation, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Design and develop scalable software solutions for large‑scale distributed and cloud computing environments.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, ontologies, schemas, data models, and interface specifications.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, system, and end‑to‑end tests; implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and sustain software applications in production environments.
