Job summary

Momentum Engineering, Inc. seeks a Cloud Software Engineer to develop mission-critical software for intelligence community environments.

You will work in an Agile team to build, deploy, and sustain applications that support large-scale distributed compute clusters in highly available settings. The role requires TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, several years of Java/C/C++ experience, and expertise in UNIX/Linux, CI/CD, and cloud tooling.

Qualifications

• Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
• Five (5) years of experience in software development or software engineering
• Four (4) years of experience developing software using Java, C, or C++
• Three (3) years of experience in software integration and testing, including test plans/scripts
• Three (3) years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux environments

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain Java-based applications
• Participate in full Agile software development lifecycle
• Develop software that integrates with COTS and GOTS technologies
• Perform code reviews, architecture reviews, troubleshooting, optimization
• Develop and implement automated test plans and scripts
• Support software integration and testing across distributed environments
• Deploy and manage software using IaC, automation, and CI/CD
• Develop and support software in containerized/microservices architectures
• Monitor production systems and resolve issues
• Provide Tier III on-call support as needed
• Develop software for UNIX/Linux environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices
• Support continuous improvement of development and deployment processes
