Job summary

Torc is seeking engineers to design and maintain cloud-based simulation services for autonomous vehicle software testing. You will work across the full software lifecycle using Python and C++ in Linux environments, focusing on scalable AWS architectures and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.

You will contribute to CI/CD, testing, and automation while supporting simulation workflows and prototyping new capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a technical field with 5+ years (MS) or 7+ years (BS) of experience.
• Strong design of managed cloud services, preferably AWS.
• Solid Python programming and software engineering fundamentals.
• Linux experience and scripting (Bash or similar).
• Experience with Terraform or similar IaC frameworks.
• Strong modern software workflow experience: CI/CD, testing, containerization, and version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and monitor cloud-based simulation services for virtual driver-stack testing and large-scale workloads.
• Contribute across full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance.
• Perform software development in Python and C++ on Linux, following Lean-Agile methods.
• Build scalable cloud systems using AWS with focus on reliability, observability, and ops excellence.
• Develop infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Ensure high-quality software delivery with established processes and safety guidelines.
• Support testing, simulation workflows, and deployed software maintenance across autonomy and perception domains.
• Investigate root causes in simulation runs and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive automation, CI/CD, simulation workflows, data pipelines, and containerization improvements.
• Maintain automated testing with robust simulation scenarios.
