Job summary

Target is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer for the Cloud Security team in Minnesota. You will own the CSPM platform across public and private clouds, translating security requirements into reliable, developer-friendly controls and driving improvements from design to remediation.

You will mentor engineers, lead multi-quarter security initiatives, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure cloud posture across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on cloud security experience.
• Senior IC or tech lead owning a platform capability at enterprise scale.
• Experience deploying CSPM/CNAPP platforms in multi-cloud environments.
• Strong policy tuning and signal-to-noise discipline for cloud security.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and policy-as-code (Rego).

Responsibilities

• Lead CSPM platform direction, standards, and roadmap for engineers to execute against.
• Operate CSPM/CNAPP platform across public and private clouds including onboarding accounts/projects.
• Maintain platform availability, performance, observability, and SLOs; manage on-call.
• Own CSPM policy set end-to-end with alignment to reference architecture and benchmarks.
• Partner with Detection & Response to translate findings into detections and remediation workflows.
• Mentor engineers on cloud security, CSPM/CNAPP, and platform engineering practices.
