Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to secure, harden, and maintain compliance of cloud platforms across secure networks for OSINT mission systems. This on-site role is located in Bethesda, MD and requires active TS/SCI with CI polygraph.

You will lead security in cloud-native environments, integrate security into CI/CD, and ensure regulatory compliance with NIST and DoD standards. Collaboration across compliance, engineering, and government teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years in the field.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification.
• 5+ years of cloud experience configuring and deploying AWS.
• Experience securing Kubernetes platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of RMF, vulnerability management, and cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide security expertise for cloud and cloud-native environments.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk analysis for cloud systems.
• Implement and manage security controls for Kubernetes clusters and containers.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes.
• Develop and maintain ATO packages and support NIST/DoD compliance.
• Collaborate with compliance, engineers, architects, and Government counterparts.
