Job summary

CyberPoint International is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer at Level 2 in Maryland to design, build, test, and maintain cloud-based software solutions supporting mission-critical applications. The role emphasizes AWS cloud technologies, distributed systems, DevOps practices, and Linux environments, with exposure to AI/ML and modern cloud architectures.

The ideal candidate has strong software development experience, hands-on AWS knowledge, and ready-to-work in a 100% onsite setting.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Active TS/SCI + Full Scope Polygraph.
• 5+ years of software development/engineering experience.
• 4+ years with Java, C, or C++.
• 3+ years in software integration and testing.
• Experience with open-source NoSQL in distributed environments.
• Experience with MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive or Pig.
• Experience with Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
• Experience with data serialization formats such as JSON/BSON.
• Experience developing RESTful services.
• Experience with object-oriented design and COTS integration.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field; advanced degrees may substitute for years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and design, develop, integrate, test, deploy and maintain software in cloud environments.
• Develop software using Java, C, or C++.
• Design software for distributed and scalable environments.
• Develop and integrate RESTful services and cloud-based apps.
• Work with AWS architecture, SDKs, APIs, and services.
• Build and maintain IaC with CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for automation.
• Develop and integrate containerized apps and microservices with Kubernetes.
• Work with distributed data technologies and NoSQL platforms.
• Apply OO design and integrate COTS products.
• Develop and execute software test plans and validation activities.
