Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer to support accreditation and operation of the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) across OSINT ecosystems for DoD/IC.

You will implement cloud security controls, perform RMF and authorization activities, and collaborate with DevSecOps and software teams in a fast-paced, on-site Bethesda environment. Requires TS/SCI clearance, Kubernetes security, STIG compliance, and AWS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, Information Assurance, Engineering or related technical discipline with 12-15 years of experience.
• Master's degree with 10-13 years of experience (equivalency considered).
• At least one DoD 8570.01-M IAT or IAM Level II or higher certification (e.g., CISSP, CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE).
• Hands-on experience with Linux and scripting (Bash, Python, Perl).
• Experience with Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) and cloud-based enterprise services, preferably AWS.
• Experience RMF processes, authorization, and continuous monitoring.
• Experience with RMF/GRC platforms such as Xacta or eMASS.
• Experience securing Kubernetes and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, assess, and provide feedback on cybersecurity artifacts and architecture.
• Assess BOE results to support DoD & IC RMF cybersecurity authorization processes.
• Conduct periodic compliance scans, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis for cloud systems.
• Implement and manage security controls for containerized apps and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps, infra, and software teams to ensure secure coding practices.
• Integrate security measures into SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and tooling.
• Develop scripts for STIG compliance and automation.
• Maintain continuous monitoring for cloud architectures.
• Support Government cybersecurity officials with IATT, ATO, and CR packages.
• Stay current with emerging cloud security threats and best practices.
