Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer 3 to safeguard digital assets and sensitive information. The role focuses on designing and maintaining robust security controls across cloud, on-prem, and DevSecOps environments, with strong emphasis on incident response, logging, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph is required.
• 7+ years of experience as a cybersecurity engineer.
• Experience implementing continuous monitoring and auditing for compliance with security controls.
• Strong skills in log collection and analysis (Splunk).
• Experience with government frameworks and security standards (NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, FISMA, FedRAMP).
• Experience securing cloud, container, and DevSecOps environments (IL5-IL6+).
• Proficiency in incident response, security incident handling, and forensic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, encryption).
• Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement incident response plans for security incidents and breaches.
• Collaborate to enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Monitor networks and logs to detect and respond to incidents.
• Investigate anomalies and security breaches to mitigate risks.
• Integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
• Maintain documentation of security processes and configurations.
• Prepare detailed reports on security findings and actions.
