Job summary

LastPass is seeking a Principal Cloud Security Engineer to partner with DevOps, CI/CD, Cloud Architects, and cross-functional teams. You will embed security best practices across our cloud infrastructure, scale security leadership, and drive secure-by-design outcomes throughout product and platform development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with AWS security services in production: IAM, Config, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams to shift security left.
• Background with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform), version control and CI tools (GitLab CI).
• Hands-on with Kubernetes (AWS EKS), containers (Docker, AWS ECS), K8s admission controllers and Supply Chain Security.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, TLS, VPN networking.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Collaborative, hands-on problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive cloud security principles, standards, and reference architectures.
• Help engineers build and securely operate products from the ground up.
• Design, implement security controls to meet compliance and audit requirements.
• Conduct proactive research to identify threats and attack vectors.
• Embed shift-left security practices across the SDLC with engineering teams.
• Implement and manage cloud security tools to monitor and reduce risk.
