Job summary

Hex Technologies seeks a Cloud Security Engineer to protect cloud infrastructure across AWS and Kubernetes, designing controls and leading security practices in collaboration with infrastructure and engineering teams.

You will implement Terraform-based security controls, perform security assessments, support compliance efforts, and mentor engineers while strengthening CI/CD security for our RCE-as-a-Service platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud security engineering experience, with extensive AWS expertise.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes security, including RBAC, network policies, and container vulnerability management.
• Expert-level Terraform usage for infrastructure as code and security controls.
• Familiarity with AWS security services (IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail, WAF).
• Experience with CNAPP like Wiz and SIEM like Panther; strong SDLC, DevSecOps, and secure CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security for AWS environments and Kubernetes clusters.
• Build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform with robust security standards.
• Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and audits of cloud infrastructure and deployments.
• Embed security into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with development/ops teams.
• Monitor and respond to cloud security incidents; identify root causes and remediation actions.
• Provide expertise on compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and mentor engineers.
