Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in California is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen secure-by-design practices across cloud environments in a hybrid work model.

You will partner with SRE, architecture, and product teams to implement security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP, drive risk reduction, and support compliance activities. 7–10 years of experience and BS/MS in CS/Engineering required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline.
• Typically, 7–10 years of experience.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.
• Comfortable designing and implementing AI-assisted security controls.

Responsibilities

• Partner with SRE, architecture, and application teams to implement security best practices and secure-by-design principles in the cloud.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and improve security initiatives to mitigate risks toward HPE cloud environments and assets.
• Coordinate with engineering, product management, security teams, program managers and partners to ensure effective delivery and support of cloud security engagements.
• Monitor and improve cloud security posture across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, using metrics to drive improvements and governance.
• Support compliance activities, cloud threat detection, incident response investigations, and forensic initiatives as needed.
• Represent the security engineering team in technical forums and mentor junior team members.
• Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects in the networking organization.”],
