Job summary

The State of Delaware's Department of Technology & Information (DTI) seeks a Senior Security Engineer to deliver high‑impact security engineering across cloud, applications, and identity services. You will work with multiple teams to design, implement, and operate security controls.

You’ll assess architectures, perform threat modeling, and automate security testing within CI/CD pipelines, contributing to a robust security posture for state IT services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Certification in cloud security, application security, or identity and access management relevant to services.
• Experience integrating applications with Okta using SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, or SCIM.
• Experience securing cloud-native apps, containers, serverless services, or software supply chains.
• Experience applying NIST, CIS, or OWASP guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide security engineering support for DTI’s cloud environments and identity services.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development, security, and agency teams to design and maintain controls.
• Perform threat modeling and secure architecture reviews.
• Automate security controls in development and deployment pipelines.
• Troubleshoot security issues in collaboration with vendors and technical teams.
