Job summary

Mbi Llc seeks a Senior Technical Architect to lead cloud, infrastructure and security across Delaware Department of Transportation systems. You will set technical direction, build and troubleshoot across mainframes to real-time cloud platforms, ensuring compliance and sound architecture for sensitive data.

This hands-on senior role demands leading architecture reviews, designing for high availability, and driving modernization while staying aligned with regulatory requirements and public safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
• 10+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in architecture or senior tech lead roles.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53 or ISO 27001.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architectures for division systems and shared platforms.
• Lead design reviews and produce architecture decisions and reference architectures.
• Design for high availability and disaster recovery with defined RTO/RPO targets.
• Plan modernization of legacy platforms through phased, low-risk migration.
• Design APIs, event streams and data integrations across divisions and partners.
