Job summary

The State of Delaware - DTI/Security Office is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to provide expert security engineering for cloud environments, applications, and identity services. You’ll design and maintain security controls, work with cross‑functional teams, and lead security automation across pipelines.

The role requires strong cloud and application security experience, IAM management with SSO/MFA, and familiarity with industry frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud security, application security, and identity management.
• Certifications in cloud security, application security, or identity and access management.
• Experience integrating applications with Okta using SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, or SCIM.
• Experience securing cloud-native apps, containers, serverless services, or software supply chains.
• Familiarity with NIST, CIS Benchmarks, or OWASP guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide security engineering support for DTI’s cloud environments, applications, and identity services.
• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot security controls across platforms.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development, security, and agency teams to address security requirements.
• Perform secure architecture reviews, threat modeling, and security automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot cloud, application, and identity security issues with technical teams and vendors.
