Job summary

Amazon US ADC Security Engineering seeks a Sr. Software Development Engineer to build high-volume full-stack apps, leverage cloud-native patterns, and deliver secure, scalable solutions for government security workflows.

You will mentor peers, perform peer reviews, design distributed systems, and partner with global stakeholders to ship features end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable and fault-tolerant platform components powering full-stack applications.
• Collaborate with admin users and product teams on UX design to understand needs and prototype features.
• Propose innovative tools, frameworks, automation, and processes used by teams across AWS.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and perform peer code reviews.
• Dive deep into client or server systems to optimize performance, maintainability, scalability, and extensibility.
• Mentor teammates to promote engineering excellence.
