Job summary

SMX is seeking a Project/Task Manager (Mid/Senior) to lead cloud initiatives supporting the DoD and United States Air Force. The role involves directing multi-cloud delivery, managing scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinating with government stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of IT/cloud management, Agile/Scrum/SAFe experience, and an active Secret clearance. DoD and cloud security knowledge are highly valued, with opportunities to shape cloud

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 4–7 years PM experience for mid-level and 9 years for senior-level.
Active Secret security clearance required.
4+ years IT/cloud management experience.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and hybrid DoD delivery models.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional teams through enterprise cloud initiatives across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and Kubernetes-based platforms within DoD environments.
Manage project scope, status, schedule, budget, resources, risk, and deliverables per contract requirements and government expectations.
Organize and track IT development tickets using JIRA/Confluence.
Communicate project status through reports and meetings with customers and management.
Prepare documentation and briefs on project status, budgets, and schedules.
