Job summary

SMX seeks Software Engineers (Junior/Mid/Senior/SME) to design and implement secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure for Air Force cloud projects. You will contribute to software design, development, integration, and architecture, onboarding cloud-enabled apps and supporting deployment activities, primarily on AWS with familiarity with Azure, Google, and Oracle.

Qualified candidates have DoD Secret clearance, CompTIA Sec+ certification, and a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years (mid) or 8+

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4+ years for mid-level; 8+ for senior; 16+ for SME.
• Active Security Clearance Required: Secret.
• DoD 8570 compliant certification: CompTIA Sec+.
• Experience with cloud-based systems (AWS/Azure/OCI/GCP) integration and deployment.
• Experience with IBM Maximo (custom development and integration).
• Experience with IBM WebSphere and Oracle development (PL/SQL, packages, triggers).
• Strong Java/J2EE development background and knowledge of cloud provisioning automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and optimize secure software in AWS, Azure, Google, and/or Oracle clouds.
• Navigate client-facing engagements and work with vendors.
• Contribute to technical discussions with customers or vendor teams.
• Define and engineer capabilities that meet customer requirements and service objectives.
• Implement automation for provisioning, configuration, security, and monitoring using DevOps practices.
• Develop methods and solutions for cloud environments and hardware/software interfaces.
