Job summary

Referment is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design and operate a global cloud platform in New York. You will work across AWS and Azure, implementing IaC with Terraform/Ansible, and building cloud-native platforms with Docker and Kubernetes.

You will drive automation, observability and security, shaping engineering standards across the business while collaborating with teams in multiple regions. A strong, hands‑on background in cloud infrastructure is essential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of cloud engineering or similar hands‑on roles.
• Experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
• IaC experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong scripting skills: Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Experience building containerised environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and automated infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Shape cloud architecture and engineering standards for a global investment business.
• Build cloud-native platforms using containers, microservices, and serverless technologies.
• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Create automated deployment pipelines and improve release speed and safety.
• Monitor, optimise and troubleshoot performance, security and cost.
