Job summary

nCino, a world leader in cloud banking, seeks a Senior Platform Engineer in Cloud Infrastructure to shape our infrastructure as code and cloud platform. You will design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using CDK, and collaborate with application teams to deliver scalable platform capabilities.

You will own core AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB) and Kubernetes-based orchestration, drive security and cost optimization, and lead proof-of-concepts while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5+ years of experience or equivalent
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language
• Strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement
• Excellent problem-solving and independent as well as collaborative work能力

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools (AWS CDK or similar)
• Own and operate core AWS services including compute (ECS, Lambda), databases (RDS, DynamoDB), and container orchestration (EKS/Kubernetes)
• Implement security best practices (IAM, encryption, access controls) and support compliance efforts (SOC2, PCI)
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (Gitlab CI, Argo CD desirable)
• Mentor engineers and lead proof-of-concepts for new AWS services
• Monitor and optimize cloud costs while maintaining performance and reliability
• Lead incident response and on-call rotations
• Document architecture, runbooks, and procedures
• Collaborate with application teams to deliver scalable platform capabilities
• Stay current with AWS updates and cloud-native patterns
