U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and support cloud infrastructure across AWS and/or Azure. The role emphasizes Terraform-based provisioning, Python automation, and Policy-as-Code to ensure secure, scalable platforms.

You will collaborate with security and platform teams to drive reliability, cost optimization, and disciplined deployment across environments, with hybrid work from a U.S. Bank location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5–6 years of relevant cloud engineering experience.
• Strong AWS or Azure experience with compute, storage and networking.
• Expertise in Terraform for provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Python scripting for automation of cloud operations.
• Experience with multiple IaC/configuration tools and Checkov.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines in GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of Well-Architected framework, security and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS and/or Azure.
• Develop and use IaC with Terraform and other tools.
• Create automation and tooling with Python to improve efficiency.
• Implement Policy-as-Code and governance practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Troubleshoot complex infra and production issues using Well-Architected best practices.
• Drive platform reliability and collaboration with security and engineering teams.
