Job summary

U.S. Bank in California is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and support cloud systems across AWS and/or Azure.

You will implement IaC with Terraform, automate with Python, and enforce policy-as-code using Checkov, while shaping CI/CD pipelines with GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5–6 years of hands-on cloud experience, strong troubleshooting, and Well-Architected framework knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five to six years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure.
• Advanced Terraform for provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Python scripting for cloud operations.
• Experience with an additional IaC tool (Ansible, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.).
• Experience implementing Checkov and policy-as-code.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines in GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket.
• Strong troubleshooting and Well-Architected framework knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure across AWS and/ or Azure environments.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize IaC using Terraform and other tools.
• Create automation solutions using Python to improve platform efficiency.
• Implement Policy-as-Code and compliance checks with Checkov.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Troubleshoot complex issues using Well-Architected best practices.
• Drive platform reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and platform teams on scalable cloud solutions.
