Job summary
Alliant Energy is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to design, engineer, and evolve enterprise cloud capabilities across cloud and hybrid environments. You will establish standards, automation, and scalable patterns to improve reliability, security, and operational performance across the enterprise.
The role requires deep cloud engineering expertise, leadership in platform modernization, and the ability to drive efficiency and governance while supporting business needs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE or related field.
- 3+ years building or supporting cloud infrastructure on public clouds.
- 2+ years implementing infrastructure automation and IaC practices.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud platforms in production.
- Experience leading complex technical initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve secure, scalable cloud platform capabilities across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks, standards, and reusable platform capabilities.
- Lead platform automation, AI-enabled tooling, and reliability improvements.
- Provide technical leadership for cloud adoption and platform modernization.
- Ensure security, compliance, reliability, and operational excellence.
