Job summary

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, is seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to design, build, and operate the distributed systems powering our GPU cloud. You will own architectures end-to-end, work across compute, Kubernetes, APIs, identity, billing, and reliability, and mentor others while raising the technical ceiling.

This role emphasizes ownership, scalable cloud infra, and collaboration with product and SRE teams to deliver secure, high-performance services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent impact.
• Proficiency in Go and Python, with ability to reason about concurrency and testing.
• Experience designing, building, and operating backend services at scale.
• Strong system design knowledge and ownership from design to production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services and platform capabilities at scale.
• Own architecture, implementation, testing, rollout, and on-call processes.
• Improve availability, latency, and security across distributed systems.
• Collaborate across product, infrastructure, security, and SRE teams.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to cross-team architectural decisions.
