Job summary

Zscaler is seeking a Sr. Cloud Platform Engineer (Remote USA, hybrid preference for San Jose, CA) to build and operate the internal cloud platform powering our product and corporate infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

You will design and ship Day 1 automation, Day 2 lifecycle tooling, and write Terraform modules while integrating AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery, collaborating with Security, IAM, Network, and FinOps teams.

Qualifications

Curiosity and exploration of AI tools integrated into workflows.
5+ years building multi-cloud infra at scale.
Hands-on Terraform design, state management, CI-driven workflows.
Scripting and automation with Python, Bash, or equivalent.
CI/CD pipeline design and Kubernetes operations.
Identity federation, secrets management, least-privilege security.

Responsibilities

Build Day 1 automation: provisioning pipelines, account vending, templates, CI/CD components.
Build Day 2 automation: lifecycle management, upgrade pipelines, drift detection, remediation.
Write and maintain Terraform modules and GitLab CI/CD components.
Integrate AI-assisted tooling into operational workflows.
Collaborate with Security, IAM, Network, and FinOps to automate guardrails.
