Job summary

Flosum is seeking a Technical Architect to drive velocity across a 10-15 person engineering team building cloud-native applications. This hybrid role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management.

You will lead architecture, performance, and scalability of our Node.js platform on AWS, while ensuring portability to GCP and Azure. You’ll mentor engineers and partner with product and engineering leadership to ship high-quality systems quickly.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years leading engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and drive the architecture, performance, and scalability of the Node.js platform on AWS.
• Mentor senior engineers and partner with product/engineering leadership to ship high-quality systems quickly.
• Manage a team of 10-15 developers, setting goals, conducting 1:1s, hiring, and removing blockers.
• Balance roadmap delivery with engineering health: code quality, reliability, on-call hygiene, and developer experience.
