Job summary

Flosum is seeking a Technical Architect to drive development velocity for a 10-15 person engineering team building cloud-native applications. This hybrid role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, owning the platform’s direction and portability across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

You will mentor engineers, ensure performance and reliability, and collaborate with product and leadership to ship high-quality systems quickly.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years leading engineering teams
• Deep expertise architecting distributed systems on AWS
• Strong Node.js background and scalable services
• Platform-agnostic design across hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Proven ability to grow engineers and ship consistently

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, performance, and scalability of our Node.js platform on AWS
• Mentor senior engineers and partner with product and engineering leadership
• Manage a team of 10-15 developers, set goals and remove blockers
• Balance roadmap delivery with engineering health and reliability
