Job summary

Flagstar Bank is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to lead cloud-based initiatives and infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments in Troy, MI. The role emphasizes automated, scalable architectures, strong security practices, and cross-team collaboration to deliver reliable cloud services.

You will architect, deploy, and monitor cloud solutions, mentor teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while integrating with multiple cloud providers.

Qualifications

• Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in computer science or related field.
• Minimum experience: 10+ Years (5+ years of Cloud experience) in IT Systems Engineering OR 15 years of comparable work experience (5+ years of Cloud experience).
• Preferred: Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent).
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, ITIL Foundation, or comparable certifications.
• ITIL Foundation or other IT Service Management methodologies

Responsibilities

• Manages a multi-origin, zero-downtime, highly scalable web infrastructure both on-premise and in the cloud (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Architects, builds, scales and secure middle tier infrastructure with a focus on automation and performance.
• Manages digital certificate administration of all certification authorities and HSMs of an industry PKI.
• Leads troubleshooting and integration best practices across cross-functional teams to ensure deployment of scalable, performant systems.
• Manages integration tier configuration and ensure compliance; enforce security/standards, regulations and best practices.
