Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer for the SSDS team in Moorestown, NJ. This role focuses on containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native technologies, with hands-on responsibility for an onsite virtualization environment.

As part of a collaborative cross-functional team, you will deploy and scale applications on Kubernetes, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and work closely with development, security, and product teams to maintain secure, reliable services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, CS, Math, Physics, or related field, or equivalent related work experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.
• 5–7+ years in Cloud Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with Podman, Docker, and Docker Compose in production environments.
• Strong experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficient with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Familiar with IDEs such as Eclipse.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools, like Prometheus and Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support containerized environments using Podman, Docker, and Docker Compose
• Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on Kubernetes clusters
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable deployments
• Work with development, security, and product teams to plan, deploy, and maintain services
• Document operational procedures and create clear runbooks Proficient with scripting languages such as Bash, Python.
