Job description

As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will develop a strategy and integration methodology for the design, development, and implementation of cloud-based solutions across CSPs. You will enable rapid development, release of changes, and incorporation of feedback while ensuring the stability and reliability of mission‑critical systems supporting an enterprise cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute DevOps strategy and integration methodology for enterprise cloud solutions
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, and risk analysis
  • Lead supportability and effectiveness analyses for total cloud systems across multiple platforms
  • Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, and requirements allocation
  • Define interface specifications for hardware and software integration
  • Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools, and processes
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
  • Enable rapid development and release of changes and bug-fixes on an as-required basis
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, etc.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for cloud environments
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements and security automation
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize software delivery lifecycle
  • Mentor team members on DevOps best practices and emerging technologies
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, software development, and DevOps engineering
  • Expert‑level proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, ARM templates)
  • Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE)
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Expert understanding of multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP)
  • Proven ability to lead complex DevOps initiatives and drive organizational change
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (minimum)
  • U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Two or more cloud certifications (AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, GCP DevOps Engineer)
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification
  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)
  • Experience with DoD Cloud Computing SRG and FedRAMP/FedRAMP+ environments
  • Knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and continuous ATO processes
  • Experience with GitOps practices and tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
  • Experience supporting DoD or Federal enterprise systems
