Job summary

Confluent is seeking a Staff PM for Cloud Networking to own the platform strategy across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will define architecture, multi-year roadmaps, and coordinate with engineering leadership on the networking surface.

You will guide major stakeholders, mentor PMs, and ensure alignment with business outcomes while engaging strategic customers and driving cost-aware decisions across the platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years owning a cloud infrastructure, platform, or networking product.
• Demonstrated track record of setting product strategy and roadmap at platform or portfolio scope.
• Deep fluency in cloud networking concepts: PrivateLink, VNet peering, Transit Gateway, Private Service Connect, DNS, security groups, CIDR/IP management, across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience serving enterprise customers with complex compliance, security, and connectivity requirements.
• Proven ability to partner with engineering leadership as a co-decision-maker on architectural direction.
• Strong analytical foundation: model unit economics, build business cases with cost/risk sensitivity, measure platform health.
• Experience mentoring PMs and raising the bar on product thinking with direct feedback.
• Practices AI-native product management, leveraging AI thoughtfully across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform strategy for Confluent Cloud Networking across AWS, Azure, and GCP — define the north star, multi-year roadmap, and sequencing.
• Define frameworks and standards that PMs/engineers use to evaluate networking decisions.
• Drive architectural decisions in partnership with engineering leadership.
• Expand scope and create optionality for adjacencies like observability and cost tooling.
• Develop the product team through mentorship and feedback.
• Build senior stakeholder alignment across product, engineering, sales, field, legal, and security; present to executives.
• Define and own success metrics linking technical milestones to revenue, retention, and cost efficiency.
• Engage directly with strategic customers and prospects in credible technical conversations.
