Job summary

Planet Pharma is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our R&D team, building cloud-native software for in vitro diagnostic development. You will help design scalable microservices, implement IaC, and improve CI/CD pipelines while ensuring governance and security standards.

You will collaborate with data engineering, product management, and architecture to translate requirements into robust, secure data pipelines and RESTful APIs while evaluating new technologies to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full stack development with Java and Angular.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS.
• Experience developing and maintaining APIs and serverless patterns.
• Security, compliance and privacy fundamentals (least privilege, key management).
• Terraform (preferred) or AWS CDK/CloudFormation.
• Data integration and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Architectural design patterns and automated quality gates.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement multi-tier, distributed, event-driven systems using cloud-native services.
• Implement IaC using CloudFormation, Docker/Kubernetes, and automated deployments.
• Develop microservices on AWS ECS/EKS for scalability and security.
• Build data pipelines with AWS Lambda and Glue, ensuring availability and DR.
• Create RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems.
• Develop data lakes/warehouses to support analytics and operations.
• Apply data governance practices such as quality, lineage, and security.
• Collaborate in design reviews and promote modern development practices.
• Evaluate new technologies and run POC to accelerate delivery.
