Job summary

Planet Pharma seeks a Senior SDET to lead quality engineering for web and mobile solutions in a regulated medical device environment. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable automation, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant digital products.

You will verify frontend interfaces, backend microservices, APIs, databases, and messaging workflows while driving test strategies and automation standards across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in software development, software test engineering, or quality engineering for production-grade applications.
• Experience developing automated tests using Java and JavaScript.
• Experience testing web and mobile apps, APIs, backend services, or distributed systems.
• Experience authoring verification artifacts including tests and results.
• Experience with source control, build pipelines, and CI practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex software and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and execution of test automation for web, mobile, API, and microservices.
• Define test strategies, plans, risk-based verification, and release criteria.
• Develop production-grade automated tests and reusable frameworks.
• Translate requirements into traceable test designs and cases.
• Validate UI and backend components across systems and databases.
• Implement automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
• Apply secure coding and test development practices.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, QA, security, DevOps, and product teams.
• Investigate failures and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor quality metrics and improve engineering practices.
