Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including architecture.
• Deep expertise in microservices, DDD, distributed systems and enterprise integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, C#, or Python.
• Experience with API design and distributed messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus).
• Experience with at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• IaC tools like Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or Bicep.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise microservices architecture standards and service boundaries.
• Lead modernization of legacy apps to cloud-native services.
• Design secure, resilient distributed systems using REST, gRPC, event-driven patterns.
• Establish API governance, versioning, and service lifecycle best practices.
• Architect systems with circuit breakers, retries, bulkheads, and Saga/CQRS patterns.
• Define data ownership and scalable persistence architectures.
• Design cloud-native platform capabilities including Kubernetes, service mesh, and gateways.
• Drive performance, capacity planning, and system reliability.
• Establish CI/CD, GitOps, IaC, automated testing, and deployments.
• Define observability standards with tracing, logging, metrics, and SLO/SLI monitoring.
• Partner with security for Zero Trust, secrets, and governance.
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor engineers across teams.
• Evaluate emerging cloud-native tech and drive strategic adoption.
