Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect for a 100% remote role in the United States. You will design and govern cloud-native solutions across compute, networking, data, identity, and security, partnering with stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable architectures.

You should have 12+ years of software/solution architecture experience, deep cloud platform expertise, and strong communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
12+ years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture.
Deep expertise designing cloud-native solutions on at least one major cloud platform.
Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security primitives.
Experience with cloud migration, modernization, and platform consolidation programs.
Strong understanding of containerization, serverless, and managed data services.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience producing formal architecture artifacts and presenting to senior leadership.
Track record of leading architecture reviews and influencing engineering direction.
Cloud architecture certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

Design end-to-end cloud solutions covering compute, networking, storage, identity, data, and observability layers.
Lead solution architecture reviews and approval processes for major cloud initiatives.
Define cloud landing zone, account structure, and tagging strategies for new and existing workloads.
Establish reference architectures, blueprints, and reusable patterns adopted across engineering teams.
Architect security, identity, and compliance controls embedded into the cloud foundation.
Design networking topologies including VPC/VNet design, transit hubs, hybrid connectivity, and private endpoints.
Lead cloud migration, modernization, and re-platforming initiatives across application portfolios.
Drive cost optimization, capacity planning, and FinOps practices across the cloud estate.
Partner with security architects to embed identity, data protection, and compliance controls from the outset.
Produce architecture artifacts including context diagrams, sequence diagrams, and decision records.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams during solution delivery.
Engage with cloud providers and platform partners to evaluate roadmap fit.
Track emerging cloud capabilities and ecosystem developments, assessing relevance to workloads, and recommend strategic adoption based on value and maturity.
Maintain alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and regulatory obligations.
