Job summary

Florida Digital Service is hiring a Senior Applications Developer to design, build, and maintain a production-grade single-page application using cloud-native microservices. You will work with a team focused on secure, scalable web solutions to support the Office of Data Management and Florida’s data interoperability goals.

The role emphasizes modern full-stack engineering practices, API design, and secure DevOps while collaborating with stakeholders across state government.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 6 years' experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Information Technology or another quantitative field.
• Criminal background investigation including fingerprinting and statewide and national criminal history records check per Section 110.1127 Florida Statutes, Chapter 435 Florida Statutes, and the FBI CJIS Security Policy CJISD-ITS-DOC-08140-4.5

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a production-grade Single Page Application powered by scalable cloud-native micro-services using modern full-stack engineering practices.
• Contribute design and technical expertise in implementing applications to assist the Office of Data Management.
• Join a team dedicated to streamlining data sharing, promoting interoperability, and reducing data duplication across the State.
• Help secure authentication and authorization systems and support SDLC security practices.
