Job summary

Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a Senior Cloud & Containerization Engineer to advance the thinkorswim cloud platform. You will drive cloud-native solutions, build and support Kubernetes-based platforms, and implement IaC automation across teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes DevOps practices, automation, and AI-enabled engineering to accelerate modernization from on-prem to cloud-native architectures. Collaboration with security, SRE, and development teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development, cloud engineering, and DevOps experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java, GKE and Docker.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, SALT, Bash and Python.
• Google Cloud Professional Certification(s) preferred.
• Experience in GitHub Actions Pipeline and CI/CD.
• Exposure to AI-enabled engineering solutions or LLM integrations is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple teams to deliver cloud-native platform solutions.
• Build and support Kubernetes platforms and containerized apps on GCP.
• Develop and maintain IAM and automation using IaC and configuration tools.
• Design and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Troubleshoot cloud, infrastructure, and production issues to improve reliability.
• Drive automation and AI-enabled engineering to enhance productivity.
• Support cloud transformation initiatives across distributed teams.
