Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer for the OCI Security Platform, focusing on the Key Management Service (KMS). You will design, implement, test, and operate KMS components, contributing to APIs, backend workflows, and reliability at production scale.

You should have 5+ years in software development, strong skills in Java/C/C++/Go, and a solid foundation in distributed systems and security services. This is a hands-on, collaborative role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably with distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong programming skills in Java, C++, or Go; experience with systems/backend development.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, OS, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Excellent ownership and collaboration within an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and operate components of OCI’s Key Management Service (KMS).
• Contribute to features across the KMS stack including APIs, workflows, and reliability.
• Develop secure, scalable software for KMS services and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call readiness and incident response.
• Collaborate with engineers and partner teams; produce design notes and runbooks.
