Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, implement, and operate components of OCI’s Key Management Service (KMS). You will contribute to secure, scalable infrastructure, cryptographic operations, and service integrations, supporting enterprise-grade security at production scale.

You will work with principal engineers and partner OCI teams to deliver production-ready solutions, write design notes, and participate in on-call and incident response.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably with distributed systems/cloud infrastructure.
• Strong programming skills in Java, C++, C, Go, or similar systems/backend languages.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, OS, and distributed systems fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, debug, and operate components of OCI’s Key Management Service.
• Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable software for KMS services and related infrastructure.
• Contribute to features supporting key lifecycle management, cryptographic operations, encryption-at-rest, and service integrations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in operational readiness, on-call support, incident response, and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with principal engineers, architects, and partner OCI teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Write clear technical documents, design notes, runbooks, and operational guidance.
